The Holiday Juggle
It only seems like yesterday that we were getting ready for the September 'Back to School' fun, but here we are, half term is upon us (we get 2 weeks holiday here as well 😲) and I don't know about anyone else but the holidays can definitely be a juggle here at times.
Now I know there is a whole wealth of fantastic articles with tips for managing the holiday juggle available online and I think I've read most of them of them over the years 😂 but I wanted to share the things that stand out for me.
⭐Create a visual schedule for both your work and family activities. Consider your business's peak times and plan your family activities around them. This will help your family to know when you need uninterrupted work time⭐
⭐(I've added this but I know it's not always possible) Consider outsourcing, it doesn't have to be forever, just over the long holiday, to help give you some headspace and free up more of your time⭐
⭐It's important to set boundaries and stick to them, communicate with your clients about your availability during the summer holidays in advance and set realistic expectations.⭐
Always remember though:
⭐Your circumstances are your own!
What works for one family may not work for yours. Follow your own routines and stick to them as best you can⭐
⭐Give yourself a break, You don’t need to be doing everything all the time and you deserve to take some time for fun as well⭐
⭐Stop comparing yourself, your situation and the things you are doing to what you see on social media. What you see is just a snapshot in time, it doesn't represent the full picture⭐
If you have any tried and tested tips for the holiday juggle, why not share them in the comments below🥰 and however you deal with the school holidays, I hope you have a fantastic time.
